Brian was appointed National Sales Director of UTV Radio Solutions in April 2010, having previously held the position of National Sales Manager from 2008. He is responsible for the national sales team whose role is to develop UTV Radio business across all National Clients and Advertising Agencies. He was a key player in the development and launch of Urban Access – the UTV National Package which has changed the way radio is bought in Ireland, providing clients with a targeted National Urban 25-44 Audience by using the strength of local urban stations. He also presented the subsequent Gummivites research, the first Irish radio effectiveness case study, to the Irish Media market.

He joined UTV Radio Solutions, formerly named BMS, in June 2003 to take up the role of Senior Account Executive where his responsibilities included managing and developing accounts within key agencies and providing cross platform radio solutions.

Brian has had a number of articles published on the Irish Radio Market and was a key member in the team that has launched Radio Gauge in the Irish Market. He has also presented research findings to the annual IBI conference on radio audiences and their links to new media.

Brian has worked in media for over 10 years and prior to joining UTV Radio Solutions he held roles in newly launched stations Dublin’s 102.2 Lite FM and Newstalk 106. He holds a diploma in Advertising and Marketing and is currently studying in UCD Smurfit Business School.

After a lengthy career in Out of Home Advertising, both in the UK and Ireland, Stephen joined UTV Radio Solutions on June 2010 as an Account Director for Mindshare, Maxus, Pierce Media, First Media and a select number of direct clients including Harvey Norman. Stephen brought vast levels of experience and has built up strong personal relationships with key personnel both on the agency and client side alike.

Stephen was promoted to National Sales Manager in Oct 2011, his insight and experience led to his appointment has become a key member of the management team working across our portfolio of clients and stations.

He is particularly proud of his work on the Heineken “Bosa Nova Baby” campaign, and thrives to deliver innovation and cut through and the highest possible level of service.

Gavin started his media career with the Southside & Northside People Newpapers in 1999 where he worked on the Job Finder recruitment pages.

In 2001 this led on to an opportunity to take on the same role with the Independent Newspapers Group where he worked on projects such as The Best Companies To Work For and FAS Opportunities.

In 2005 Gavin moved across to Independent Digital to work on INM’s new recruitment website LoadzaJobs.ie, where he was involved in research and new business development.

After 8 years working in Recruitment Advertising, both in print and online, Gavin joined Hot Press magazine as their Advertising Manager in 2007. In this role he worked with brands such as O2, Absolut, Sony Ericsson, Bacardi, Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

Gavin joined UTV Radio Solutions as Account Director in April 2010 and currently handles major accounts such as UPC, Dunnes Stores, GSK, Diageo and Kellogg's.

In 2011 Gavin completed a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, PR and Sales Management at NCI.

Ciara began her career in DDFH&B working as a broadcast buyer.

Following that, she joined Mediaworks as a Senior TV Buyer and was subsequently appointed Head of TV by the network which then became MindShare.

In 2000, she joined FM104 as Agency Sales Executive progressing to a senior role before joining UTV Radio Solutions as Account Director in September 2008.

Ciara holds diplomas in both Promotion Management and Media from the College of Commerce and a diploma in Marketing from The Marketing Institute of Ireland.

Fionnuala began her career as Traffic Manger with Dublin’s FM104. By working closely with a/c mangers and production departments across all advertising agencies and PR companies this enabled a natural progression into sales. 

In 2000 Fionnuala was appointed to Sales Director with the brand new radio station Lite FM [now Dublin’s Q102]. As part of the Senior Management Team, Fionnuala was pivotal to it’s growth and success. 

From there she worked with the very successful Farm Recording Studios as Business Development Manager which gave her an insight into ‘behind the scenes’ side of the industry. 

Fionnuala has since enjoyed 9 years as Senior Account Director with UTV Radio Solutions as it has grown from strength to strength.

Damien Halpin began his career working with Hot Press in 1999. Then after 3 years went off travelling for a little while before returning home to work for The Dubliner Magazine as Sales Manager.

He then rejoined Hot Press for another 3 years whilst also working across a wide range of titles they also handled.

He then moved to Phantom 105.2 in September 2006 to manage their sales team as they launched and prepared to go to air.

Damien joined UTV Radio Solutions in May 2010 as an Account Director.

Gráinne studied Marketing in DIT Mount Joy Square and upon completing that she moved the short distance to DIT Aungier St and gained a Diploma in Marketing and E-Business.

After leaving college she travelled for a short period in Asia before joining UTV Radio Solutions.

Louise Doddy joined UTV Radio Solutions in June 2010 from PHD where she was an Account Manager on the Fáilte Ireland, Topaz, Tifco Hotel Group & Sage accounts.  

Prior to that she worked as an Account Manager in Precision Media from January 2007 to April 2009 with brands such as Iarnród Eireann, Abrakebabra, The Bagel Factory, Stena Line, The Department of Agriculture & Weightwatchers.

Louise has a Bachelor of Arts, Masters in Marketing & in 2008 completed a Diploma in Advertising in DIT Aungier St.

Among others, Louise currently works on the Eircom, Tesco and Renault accounts.

John Mc Donagh started working in FM104 in November 2003 with the beetle bugs as promotions supervisor. He then took up an office based role as Traffic Manager for almost 2 years.

John then went travelling for 6 months and returned in January 2007 to start working as an Agency Sales exec in FM104.

He joined the UTV Radio Solutions Team in September 2008.

In 2008 Carol joined Dublin’s Q102 as office manager, which included managing the on street promotional team and co-coordinated on-air promotions. In February 2010 Carol studied part time in National College of Ireland, and obtained a first in a Higher Diploma in Sales, Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations.

Carol joined the UTV Radio Solutions team in July 2010 as Sponsorship and Promotions Executive; she has been heavily involved in several major station promotions such as The National Confectionary Company ‘ Snakes and Shamrocks’, Diet Coke ‘Share the Happiness’ and Sky ‘ Big Freeze’.

In 2005 Sharon graduated with Distinction in Radio Broadcasting and Humanities from the Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Dun Laoghaire.

Sharon spent over two years in Operational  Banking with Bank of Ireland before joining the Direct Sales Team in the Associated Newspapers Group to sell the newly launched Irish Daily Mail, and Irish Mail on Sunday/TV Week Magazine.

In 2008 Sharon moved to the VIP Magazine Group and became Commercial Manager of KISS Magazine Ireland’s only Teen Magazine and Ireland’s second largest selling monthly magazine. In addition to the monthly publication KISS also published a series of Annuals and their popular website www.kiss.ie. In 2011 she took on the additional role of Commercial Manager for TVNow Magazine, the second highest circulation of any Irish weekly consumer magazine also within the VIP Magazine Group.

Sharon moved to UTV Radio  in December, 2011.

Katrina graduated in 2006 obtaining a Higher National Diploma in Journalism.

Katrina then joined the Dublin City Business Association as Office Administrator/PA taking up a role producing the member's bi-weekly newsletter as well as management of their website and content.

In 2007 Katrina took up a role as Executive Office Administrator/PA  with GTECH, an international company that perform all operations and maintenance behind the National Lottery. In this role Katrina liaised with the companies worldwide offices in relation to weekly Lotto games sales reporting, working closely with the management team both in Ireland and abroad.

Katrina joined the UTV Radio Solutions team in December 2007 as Office Manager.

During her time at UTV she has gained many skills and certificates along with maximising efficiency and ensuring client satisfaction is a number one priority. Where possible she provides start to finish management of all client queries and issues. She coordinates and designs all competitions and mailouts for UTV RS..
